Really enjoy it. Definitely changes shades beautifully and smoothly. It's good to know it's an efficient LED, and that it automatically turns on and off. Works great as a night light for baby when we go potty at night! I just whisper to him about the fish and try to name all the different shades that appear on the wall (is that indigo? or cyan? rose or magenta?) until he relaxes enough to let his pee out. This light helped him learn the word "FISH" :) It works nicely in small rooms like our bathroom.BAD: The light in ours doesn't seem very strong although other reviewers seem to have a different experience. The overall height seems small, doesn't seem like 7" but I haven't measured. The design makes it hard to enjoy the fish scene if you use it in a low-height wall outlet. Best for small rooms like bathroom. Plugged it in, and it operated correctly for up to 2 days. During the day, the nightlight turns off due to a photo sensor on the bottom of the unit.The nighlight stopped working after only 2 days. It had not been abused, and there is no particular reason it should fail, other than it is a poor product. Although this product has received many good reviews, there is a small number of reviews what reflect what I have experienced. It would be interesting to see if this product is still working for the other positive reviewers after a week or 2. At the very least, this "expensive" night light should last several years. Instead, it worked less than 48 hours (of which it actually only operated half that time at night) It's also interesting to note that this product is indicated to be a General Electric product. In fact, I don't think its glow is a bright as the typical "yellow" glow cast by most night lights. Too bad the fish don't move as the light changes color, but that's not a big deal. Overall, a very nice item. Will be good to use when traveling and staying in hotels where you need some type of light to guide you in a dark room in the middle of the night. |
