We've only had it for a few days so I can't comment on its longevity or durability, but it's very user-friendly for my daughter (doesn't get hot, easy to rotate), and I like that it's light-sensitive so it turns itself on and off. However, as you can see in the picture, it only rotates back and forth (not side-to-side and it does not swivel at the base), so your adjustment options are pretty limited. It plugs right into the socket so you have to find a wall socket that's not blocked by anything or put on a power strip and set it out (which is what we did). If you're looking for a little cartoon of planets for your kid to look up at, this works for you! The only problem is that after a month of use, most of the color has washed out of the image projected on the ceiling. The oranges and reds are all gone, now all we see are blues and yellows. I don't expect much of an image to be left after 6 months. The product is a great idea, I just wish it would last longer.[Update] After 1 year the projected is pretty much gone. All we have are blue outlines. I plugged this thing in when I laid him down, and he stared up at it, fascinated, and forgot to fight naptime. He has been on a napping strike, but today he went right to sleep, quietly. I am giving at least partial credit to this new night light. The projection and colors are good, and it seems durable enough to survive in our house. Love it!! |
