These are BATTERY operated (somehow I missed this when I bought two). I bought two of these. When I unscrewed the back to place batteries, I could never screw the cap back in. VERY cheaply made. Do NOT buy this product!!!!

i purchased this item for our baby's room so i could go in while he is sleeping and not have to turn on a bright light. the auto feature is super sensitive and made the batteries wear out very fast. the other option was to turn it off and on each time, which i did not want to have to do. Gives off good light but ended up purchasing a cute night light instead.

I like that I can set this on the dresser in the nursery and use it motion activated as I am running in the room, or set it constant on when I am getting my son ready for bed. I also used a second one in my toddlers bathroom (attavhed to her bedroom). If she gets out of bed it lights up quickly. The sensor s amazing.
